UNSPECIFIED (2019) We want to change, and they have the power. Research Report. Black South West Network.
The BAME-led community sector in Bristol has been decimated by a legacy of austerity and underinvestment. In order to thrive, it needs investment to defuse the tension between competition for resources and the need for collaboration, strong networks to foster connectivity, intensive support to build capacity and inclusive strategies and processes for transferring assets to BAME organisations. The report acknowledges that rebuilding the sector will be a long-term process that must regenerate trust and confidence.
